Does anyone know if the pipes have to be pushed all the way to the end of the connecting pipe? Yesterday was a beautiful fall day here in CT and the perfect chance to take out the Capri for the last drive of the season. After that it was time to "winterize" the car, which really means just filling up the tank and increasing the tire pressure to help prevent flat spots. IMG_4981.jpg

I have a 98' S70 non turbo 5-speed that displays a similar problem. And same as you I went through all the obvious. I also have Abscate's 98' S70 non turbo auto that fires right up in the exact same cold situation. Could not figure it out, until now possibly.
