I actually bought yesterday my first Volvo.
This week i have appointment for a full maintenance - oils, belts and etc. :twisted:

I went back to the mechanic and showed him this picture from a video.
He’s going to install it the right way and am able to pick it up tomorrow again.

Fingers crossed they got it right then! Once you get your car. it will have the weight on it and you should be able to see between the top cap and the bearing plate. Hopefully there is a star washer under there!

Alright. Seems like the bump stop doesn’t has tabs. I got this one from Sachs based on the part nr. They flipped the bump stop around but not the sleeve. The sleeve is quite snug around the bump stop. It looks like the upper and lower diameter is the same. But now I’m not sure what the correct orien...

It isn't big or heavy, but rigging up 9' long fly rods at home to teach local youth to fly cast is my favorite thing to haul.

That would work but if you just clean the rotor and wheel hub carefully, the snug up the m6 bolt holding the rotor on , you can measure runout. If the rotor is distorting from the Lugnut install, throw away the cheap rotors and buy them from Volvo and that will fix it. Another lesson in his saving 1...

So my lesson was worth 140 euro plus 120 for new spring compressor.

I have learned… to not go back to that shop.
The star nut was upside down :oops:

Edit: and they didn’t use the rubber spacer. Luckily I had spares.
