Replacing REAR subframe trailing arm bushings

One thing that’s always bothered me about P2’s is how the arse end of these cars reminds me rather vividly of a “sulky”. As in, the little trailer that is towed behind a walk-behind zero-turn mower - the operator stands on it whilst operating said ZT mower. I’ve replaced quite a few parts trying to ...

Re: XC70 Climate Control Temperature Sensor - Replace or Repair?

UPDATE on my 2005 XC90 2.5T HVAC Thermistor. The Radio and HVAC panel on the XC90 is slightly different from S60, V70 but very very similar... - Bought the Thermistor on ebay, works great : https://www.ebay.com/itm/2003-2014-VOLVO-XC90-S80-S60-XC70-V70-HVAC-Thermistor-8651244-30782330/274266146616 -...

Re: 2001 V70XC - 200,000 Miles Makeover

It may be the tall screw has bottomed on the full thread form in the hole. Do we know if this screw should be longer than the others? What I am trying to say is the screw bottomed out in the threaded hole and the last two threaded 'tapped' the incomplete threads to reach full depth. If this happened...

Re: Front Strut replacement recommendations and gotchas?

I had those 1A on 04 V70 and the response on the coils were just plain awful. What I mean, when I hit even a slight dipping type bump, the coil was not strong enough to push the wheel assembly down fast enough so the car would almost feel like it was bottoming out, and it always felt that way on eve...

Re: TPMS Sensors

Tried to edit my old post, adding the Swedespeed link as there are quite a few options in this space for a working TPMS sensor including the $25/ea VDOs which are still on my vehicle (sold the Schrader sensors to another XC90 owner, he's using them today). Turned out I was overthinking the function ...

'97 855 GLT: is there an easy way to fix a slow leak in AC at this junction?

Our car leaks about 100g of refrigerant per year. A few years ago I added a refrigerant to the system that contained a small amount of UV fluorescent dye. Yesterday under UV light I could see signs of a leak around the junction between the low side port (at upper left in image below) and the receive...

Re: VIDA for 2016+ P3 cars

No need to install SQL Server. This might interfere with VIDA. You want to install Management studio that will let you connect to VIDA's SQL server. This is what can be used for Windows 10: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sql/ssms/download-sql-server-management-studio-ssms?view=sql-server-ver15 On...
