Re: TPMS Sensors

Dunno on wheels, I run "standard" Volvo rims on my vehicles. Not sure how you're testing TPMS. If you have a tool that can trigger the sensors, trigger one then press the "show data" button in an individual applicable UEM window on VIDA to see if you return a value for ID and pre...

Re: TPMS Sensors

If you can, read the TPMS sensors in VIDA while driving. I did this, posted in the link provided. However, if you have original TPMS sensors, it might be prudent to replace them based on the age. General guidelines are a 5-10yr life expectancy from the TPMS sensor batteries. Older sensors and rubber...

Re: TPMS Sensors

If I'm interpreting your question of “direct” versus “indirect” correctly, the first is a permanent physical sensor interpreting individual tire pressure (with or without a temperature differential) and the second is inferred pressure as a function of individual wheel characteristics (circumference ...

Re: XC70 Climate Control Temperature Sensor - Replace or Repair?

On a related note, there's another temperature sensor in the climate condenser which you could check, it's easy to replace and cheap , but if it is bad, changing it will make a world of difference to climate control. Has anyone explore this^; where to look? Meanwhile, I've ordered 2 thermistors fro...

Re: TPMS Sensors

No reason why not, the site- https://www.max-sensor.com/s/MAX-SENSOR ... 02022.xlsx has a vehicle coverage list which says it will (notes both 315 and 433 as applicable).

Re: TPMS Sensors

Ironically, this was asked about in a thread not too long ago. A link to look up the frequencies is also in the earlier thread.

Re: TPMS Sensors

To avoid further guessing and since I'm the original poster, I'll re-paste the VIDA verbiage that was in the Swedespeed link in subpost #3 and note the issue as SOLVED: The [TMPS] system covers the upper electronic module (UEM) (4/70) and the sensors in the wheels. The sensors in the wheels are acti...

Re: TPMS Sensors

Without copying and pasting, but from personal experience, like I already said. In plain terms... :) It does that and it’s more of a how frequent and consistent the ID #s are over time. I was getting IDs from other cars when I was driving and looking at VIDA. As long as the dash light turns off, the...

XC60D5 2.4L Twin turbo 2012

Hello friends it's been a long time. After a 3 year relationship with diesel powered Ssangyong products I'm back to Volvo once again. I had 2 Ssangyong Stavics or Rodeus as they're better known in US markets and a Korando. Nothing wrong at all with the Stavics; a truly great vehicle if people movers...

Re: TPMS Sensors

I installed two no brand TPMS sensors on my two snow tires. I used vida dice to save it on car computer. The warning sign went off couple days, then came back. Then I drove with warning light on. Unfortunately one tire hit nails last month and another last week. Both are damaged after driving flat. ...
