Re: Climate Control - Can't Adjust Temperature
Never worked since you bought it? Check thermistor behind the little slotted section on the climate panel, make sure it's intact and not broken/bent. Area of the slotted section should be clean and free of debris (blow out or vacuum if not). See attached for reference- https://www.volvoforums.org.uk...

Re: P0442 Volvo XC90

Re: Air Cleaner Assembly - Vacuum Leak
If the MVS cross-reference https://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/volvo-1999-and-newer-codes is correct (no reason to suggest it’s not), and you have a portable copy of VIDA available, all the codes map out to a fuel-air mixture problem as RHP alludes above. Highly likely not the airbox (bottom rear of m...

Re: Vibration at low speed
Mobil 3309 and Toyota T-IV are the most commonly used replacement fluids for the AW5x and TF-80SC transmissions as far as I have ever used or seen. Other fluids are JWS 3309 compatible but these two fluids have been used consistently over time with good result. I have used the Mobil 3309 product for...

Re: 2005 XC90 2.9 ltr awd tr6 high ECM-6140 EXHAUST CAM CONTROL -SLOW
Hub maybe, it's oil pressure controlled by the solenoid controlling the hub position, ECM maps the angle it wants the camshafts to be and reads the sensor on the back as a "loop". Loop is not being completed fast enough and the code is being thrown. If there's enough oil pressure and the s...

Re: Fix a Volvo flip/switchblade key - DIY, pics and advice
I have done this 3 times now, and have purchased a couple of donor keys because I never seem to get the "fix" to last longer than about 6 months before the case splits. Super glue, epoxy, surface prep or not, eventually they all separated. Had some hardware around and put in a little torx ...
