Mating headrest monitors with aftermarket player

So I bought a couple of nice stock RSE (rear seat entertainment) headrests with monitors from 2007 XC70 and put them into my 2005 XC70. I don't have the rest of RSE system, but have Kenwood 2DIN head unit with RCA video output. The monitors didn't turn on on their own, they are controlled by the DVD...

Internals of Magnefine filter

20k miles since last replacement, along with original Volvo ATF, 180k on odo, new valve body, almost perfect shifting. This is not the first filter or ATF flush, the transmission was never dirty since I got it with 80k miles. Magnet is weak, though still catches some worn friction material. Without ...

Re: Dim not responding 2005 V70 2.4 NA

Yes, a leak to CEM is a good guess then. Start with that. If you see the leak you may need to find where exactly it enters the cabin and water-proof that place. You may need to crack CEM open to clean the mess or at least see how it's doing. Use zip ties to fix a bazillion of plastic tabs in place.....

Re: Haldex Oil Change

Rear of the flange has 2 extra holes with threads, use M8 bolts to push the flange out. If the threads are rusted out you may have luck with a cold chisel and hammer on the CV joint itself. One more way is to unbolt the front CV and the support bearing and use the driveshaft itself as a reverse hamm...

Re: Haldex Oil Change

Yes, after the CV joint.

Craftsman 8 Amp Impact Wrench does that nut and many others like crankshaft with no issues.

Re: Haldex Oil Change

You need to slacken front CV joint bolts, then the rest will come out.

Don't. Since you had the unit fully drained, fill it up, go for a ride, come back and check the level. You may need to top it up actually.

Re: Exhaust replacement on 2007 XC70

I given thoughts of purchasing the Snabb 3" High Flow Cat Downpipe. Is it a direct fit for the 2.5T? Did you have to plug one of the 2 upstream bungs? Is the downstream O2 sensor at an angle so it doesn't contact the driveshaft? I sent all those questions to SNAAB but haven't heard back. Being...

Troubleshooting shift flare with the help of an Arduino Due

Flare is when RPM spikes, not drops (reduced torque window is gone, engine starts to push, but the clutches in transmission are not engaged yet). What you see and feel is a torque converter lockup: starting from 3d gear transmission first shifts with open TC then a second or two later it gradually l...
