The German word for that rear shelf is Hutablage, literally meaning shelf for your hat.

Re: woodgrain gearshifter/AT plastic breaking down
I have never seen a shifter know like that! Is it the hot temperatures you are getting that is causing that? You can remove and replace the button on the shifter but not sure how much further you can make it disassemble. There should be shifters for sale out there in better condition for less than t...

Re: woodgrain gearshifter/AT plastic breaking down
I believe the gear shift knobs are the same on 850's and V/S70's, the only difference is the boot below them. I have pictures of the V/S 70 somewhere and will post when I find them.

Re: woodgrain gearshifter/AT plastic breaking down
Yes it would make me feel bad too! If I have a correct colored one then naturally I will sell it as I have no need for wood ones as my car has no wood finishing inside. It may take me a week to find them. I know where they are but it is under a huge pile in my basement as we were having the garage f...

Oetiker clamp information
Oetiker clamps used on a 2000 V70 NA FWD automatic: The measurements are estimated diameters of hoses/boots in place on their fittings. They were found by measuring the assembly with clamp and subtracting 2 mm (1 mm clamp width on each side). Axle boots - Front left: Outer boot large = 91 mm, Oetike...

Re: Wondering what to do? 1998 S70 blown head gasket
Sveedy, I have located and corrected the problem, thanks to Robert DIY on YouTube. I had re-assembled the cam sensor at the rear of the exhaust cam incorrectly. As many times as I have removed and replaced that thing over the years when having to replace a leaking cam seal, I had never reinstalled i...

Re: 850 Broken bolt
Unless you want 100% originality, a plain bolt is fine. Those pointy pins limit the rims you can use. I probably have a bunch of them as I always removed them. Now where they are......................?!

Re: Transmission codes
This is the second time i know of that a TCU replacement cleared transmission codes. I had it happen on a 98 s70 before which presented with the flashing arrow of death. Glad its resolved!
