Re: 1995 850 How to TEST brake light switch on 850 wagon

On later models the pairs are normally open

1-2
3-4

When you remove the switch though, I believe it closes those contacts.

To nail this you need the 1995 version of this system.

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?

Yeah , even Dr Brothers have their limitations. No crank is ignition switch, wiring , or clutch switch on the M56 Go find the remote starter bypass and confirm your battery , starter, and main cables are all sound Chock it, triple check in neutral, and parking brake firmly on when you use the bypass

Re: brake bleed nipples

You can also bleed a caliper by cracking the brake hose

It’s messy , but it works. A large mixing tray from Lowe’s will catch all the brake fluid, about. $10

Re: Why does VVT have to be "unloaded" before removing the timing belt ?

As long as the cam didn’t move, yes

The cam tolerance for position is only about one tooth. More than that, the VVT will give a cam flank angle error code.

I went deep into this in the p80 forum on my 1999 in April
