What do you do with all that time saved?

Probably ok In warm climates but in the Arctic’s that warmed setup is probably keeping the line flowing in winter

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?

Do a voltage drop test on each battery cable at each point , Bruno The cable do get crusty inside after 20 years, and can fail intermittently. With the lights on, Measure b+ voltage directly across battery. Now move the negative probe to the ground and see how much the measure voltage changes. That ...

It is probably designed fail safe so that if t...

Grandpa was in infantry out of Rouen in WWII and has some pretty crazy memoirs. A few years back on a business trip ...

Re: Water pump keep or replace?

You also have to be honest with yourself. Are you the kind who will put up your hood every weekend to look for things that aren’t tight or will you drive it like an appliance?

If the latter, replace parts on the PM model rather than waiting for failure.

Re: 2004 XC70 ! Whats this hose and is it an easy fix? [ evap purge hose]

I believe they are NLA from Volvo but generic ones or junkyard will be fine. They fail less frequently than ECUs
