On top of this Firefox chipped in to cover my gas and time, which is appreciated. I just got her back to NY Volvo HQ where we will figure out what to do next. I was able up use rollers from another FDPP car so Firefox could pull his rare mirrored Columba's and brand new tires.

You need to remove the harmonic balancer but not the crank pulley. Work the belt past the nub with the harmonic balancer removed. I do worry about the anthro part of safety engineering. They do worry about this in flight, where it has gotten so safe that pilots literally do fall asleep in flight.
