Re: COVID, Who Knew First?
It was a pleasure to see Rand Paul get the Fauci beat down in public. Don’t be impressed by random “ Doctors”. The people who treat people know very little about immunology and virology. Rand should stick to simpler thing like lawn mowing. The sure sign of smart people in these fields is the use of ...

My local independent(s) knew nothing of the P80 bread clip fix for the AC compressor. Happy to bolt on a new AC compressor amd charge for $1500, vs one ho...

Re: 1990 Volvo 760 Turbo low idle/stalling
Get the battery on a charger so that’s it is at 100% SOC before chasing down esoterica. Electronics hate saggy voltages and a compromised ignition will give you lots of demons and angels to chase

Re: brief hesitation at highway speed
2008 S60 2.5T 202k miles I've had this vehicle for about 10 years now. The car runs and idles like new. Only issue is a brief hesitation/stumble that occurs at highway speeds. I'm typically cruising at 50-60 mph, and when I go to accelerate, there is some hesitation/stumble that happens for about 2...

Re: $10,000 S80 Challenge
Depreciation.
For a running, smog test passing car I think $2000 is a basic number that you can get for any car in CA.
There is always a market for basic transportation.
Once you have amortized $5000 of depreciation , I would argue it has collapsed to $0 from then on

Re: Volvo Findings! (What have you found on Craigslist?)
Now that’s interesting! That doesn’t look like aVolvo engine. Oooof, the Vega was a horrible car when new. Hopefully that one is like wine… Your suspicions may have been raised by the word "Chevrolet" molded into the cam cover. Maybe that's a pre-transplant pic. That’s Hausa for Volvo. Ev...

Re: Volvo XC90 - Why you love yours!
BMW X5….for those who can’t afford the X7And the best bit is the XC90 has no pretentions. X5 drivers are trying too hard to impress, and Q7 drivers simply look like gits.

Re: PCV time means question time!
Remember the bottom intake manifold bolts don’t need to be removed. The manifold is slotted on the bottom to slide over the bolts in place. The banjo is simple with the alternator out. Another tip is to use a sacrificial o ring to hold the stack of bolt, washer, Union, washer together while you star...
