The 3,2 was used in the xc90 p2 chassis all the way to 2014, maybe it was offered as an option in the p2 late in that year?
On edit, ca resources say no. My guess is the car is a 2007 build p3 chassis with an incorrect model year registration

Re: Thoughts on Injector Cleaner?
Not sure how much cleaners do. PEA is mostly used/recommended for direct injection. Probably good as a precaution, but not sure if it can fix a real problem. I disagree on dirty or gummed up injectors causing a code... as long as they put in enough fuel and it ignites it wont. You can take out inje...

Re: Get your flu vaccine , Winter 2025
Flu cases are at 25 year highs. It still isn’t too late to get the jab, barring a small number of medical reasons not to ( you know if you have one of those conditions)

Re: I found this turbo vacuum line disconnected
The blue line returns the pressure that isn’t used by the turbo control valve back to the snorkel so no boost pressure is “lost”
If to pops off , the turbo will work fine but you may get a lean code for a vacuum leak if you have a light foot

Re: Problem filling gas tank
My 98 V70 XC had the canister upfront under the LHF. It also had a manual timing belt adjuster not hydraulic. Typical Volvo hodge-podge during change overs. I have had several Volvos over the last 50 years that naturally always seemed to be on the cusp of a change with hybrid build where the only w...

Re: Flummonxed: why does my 93 850 stall when warmed up?
Couldn't find it either! I thought I had posted about it when I finally discovered how worn the cap and rotor were. The car was on loaner, to the guy I eventually sold it to. So a lot of it was him telling me what happened. When it stalled, it wouldn't re-start until you let it cool down. After the...

Re: Flummonxed: why does my 93 850 stall when warmed up?
The cap is not sealed and Any moisture inside will steal spark to ground. Another source of moisture can be blow by from the end cam seal working its way into the cap. Time to have it off and show us the ugly, corroded terminals inside

Re: What is your next Volvo?
I’m enjoying my 2005 p2 seats, the 2013 xc90 seats, and just sat in my first p3 2011 xc70 seat. I have managed to dump 10 pounds off a target of 25 from my under tall frame too, which is helping.
My T5 m56 seat is still my favourite
