Re: 98 S70 Engine ‘singing’ noise
That sounds like a vacuum leak, I would pull the intake and check the Pcv system for a loose or holed hose

Re: Need mechanic/advice for CT/RI-2000 v70xc fuel pump-ugh:(
Is there no fuel replacement plate in the XCs for this job in the 2000 MY? If you can get to the top of the tank you might be able to see the leak from there I guess the first order of business is to find the leak. That’s probably doable by yourself with some help, get the car up on ramps and then l...

Re: 2000 V70 n/a with a P0600 code
Yeah, but’s let’s not panic yet. Do you have the ECM removal tool ? Worth cleaning connections first
Henry can clone your ECM remotely, worse case.

Re: '97 850 - repair or scrap?
I would look at ;]labor rates where you are moving, and also is there a good Volvo independent shop nearby. Most of the repairs listed go from good-worn-Dangerous condiition, if they are just worn , make the big trip and then deal it with it here. If you are down to your last 3mm on brake pads, but ...

Re: 99 S70, fuel spraying, part unavailable? 9205158 NLA
It’s #10 in this diagram
It looks like there is a connection to the front fuel line part that might make it easier to remove and union together

Re: '97 850 - repair or scrap?
It’s worth $1000most anywhere as a decent runner needing work. Use it to move, then dump
Even a cross country trip is nothing for a Volvo.
Getting another six months after a move is excellent

Re: '97 850 - repair or scrap?
OK - without getting too into your life... :D Volvo Dealer mid Cape in Hyannis. Cape is loaded with money from arrogant NYers, so labor rates can be high, but being from CA, they will be cheap. If the car handles well, doesn't dive or pull on braking, and the rotors are mirrors and not scored, I wou...

Re: 98 S70-Advice for Gasket & Filler Pipe replacement
I'm a chick= weaker smarter than most guys. Should I suck it up and have my mechanic do this fix because the hazards out weigh the $ savings? >> See above! A helper is useful but the tank itself isn't that heavy. You can get the tank down to when the low fuel light comes on (you didn't know it had ...
