Re: breather box insights ( Banjo bolt type) (lengthy)

I secure the banjo bolt and two crush washers onto the pipe by using an old oring to hold it on Do this before you install the PCV pipe Once the threads have started, I pull the oring with a pick and cut it off This is a great idea! I wish I had done this in May when I did the PCV on mine. Related ...

Re: 1998 V70 NA M56 Crank No-start pEarl

I think you just checked the cams so this is probably irrelevant but: Is the little metal mounting disc under the CPS (and the distributor one for that matter) in the correct orientation? It's possible to mount them wrong and still reassemble, then they are 180 out of phase.

Re: P80 (-1998) Throttle Body Rod 3507883 Dicussion

This really looks like the way to go to me...trying to figure out if the cups on this are 8mm or not, and if the spring retainer clips come with it. Even if this is too long or short, its close enough to be able to shorten the threaded sections or add longer ones as needed. https://www.partsklassik....

Re: 2001 V70XC - struggles to idle when coming to stop light

Replaced the ambient air hose to the air box, MAF, intake hose between MAF and turbo, and the TCV. Checked the hoses and pipes for routing. It starts and runs like a champ. Acceleration is stable, but taking foot off the gas pedal has light jerk - NOT when taking pressure off the gas pedal. It burps...

I will.
What is the sensor on the intake pipe at the turbo connection, and what is it sensing and reporting?
That is the PTC nipple. It heats the PCV oil to keep it from clogging.

Re: Clunking sound front wheels

Good advice above ^^^ I vote sway bar drop links.

For loose abs, do some crunches and sit-ups. Just start with 10 or 15 a day and see how you feel.

Re: Volvo newbie checking in with a couple issues.

Stupid question but are you sure that is a 99? It doesnt have side indicators or the blue badge? Looks to be fully loaded so that is a plus.

Re: 850 Climate Control Bulb Replacement

The ECC bulbs on my '95 855 T5 had not failed but were clearly emitting a low level of light. I noticed this after changing the instrument bulbs. Taking into account they have been working over 25 years I thought it a reasonable expense to get the bulbs from my dealer. They were GBP £6.60 each. Part...

Re: Good thoughts for Grayson the Volvo Cat

Well I woke up yesterday to find one of my two cats ( JoJo ) died during the night. I had been her guardian for 12 years. She had been diagnosed with a build up of fluid which put pressure on her heart. Apparently nothing could be done to save her. The last day was very hard to deal with; take her i...
