Re: P80 replacement seat skin thread research JAN 2020

Hey guys, I know seat skins are not getting any better with time. SCP is having issues with manufacturing due to the virus. Hopefully we will gain some progress this fall. A full set of skins for under $300 per seat OEM factory quality is a real deal. Go ask any upholtry shop. I was quoted $950 for...

Re: axle options

Glad to hear you found a solution. Napa axles can be hit or miss, but I did have one on a 97 NA 850 and it is still on my nieces' car 4 years later. I like the Nugeon branded calipers from Napa. The P80 ones I have had seem to be well refurbished with decent parts and not pot-metal slider pins! Neil.

Re: What did you do to your P2 Volvo today?

Took the 13 year old dog to the vet for back leg trouble with heart in mouth. Good prognosis - with some steroids, she should get another year or two of hip use. She has had a good run! Proper posting format, please. Could someone alert a moderator? E.g. "08 Black lab mix, fixed rear delta lin...

Re: TIMING MARKS OKAY ?

It's not ok.
Crank is one tooth off.
Turn in back on the mark and install the belt.
Pull the pin from tensioner, rotate the crank for few revolutions by hand and recheck again.

If everything is on marks, you are done.

Re: 4C Misery -2006 V70R AWD Auto

Well, here for my serving of humble pie. I was going by the illustration in VIDA to locate the appropriate plug. Turns out the engine compartment receptacle identified in the VIDA drawing is incorrect. Monroe struts sent by FCP were the correct parts. My brother and I finished the install today. The...

How do you get a torch started without a flare?

A General Thank You!

A general thank you to Matt and the entire MVS Community in this subforum for all of the help and advice I have had available to me over the years. While I am at it, I will also thank Robert Spinner for all of his videos and for what he has contributed here. I'm a pretty fair amateur mechanic and wi...
