Re: VIDA dedicated laptops for sale
I just bought a VIDA laptop from TacklaNHL. He was great to work with, shipped the laptop in a timely fashion despite difficulties obtaining parts. The laptop is clean, sturdy, and has a strong battery. It feels good as new for being 15 years old. The laptop runs great and the VIDA software is easy ...

Re: What should I do with my 98' v70 wagon (base)
Welcome to the forum. Of course we want to see pictures. I've read that adding a turbo to a non-turbo is essentially impossible. How about using this car to learn the basics of maintenance and repair, make it reliable, then keep it as a daily driver while you tinker with some other sporty thing. Tre...

Re: She met her maker
Sorry to see your car meet this fate. At least we know Volvos are safe. I really hope someone can get use out of the car's parts like those nice seats. My sister has a P3 XC70 and it has started burning oil. Even the service writer at her dealership said his does too. I'm in the market for a newer c...

Re: What should I do with my 98' v70 wagon (base)
Good luck with the manual swap. This thread has the complete parts list for manual swap . You'll basically need the entire donor car to be sure you get all of the parts, computers, etc. Might be easier to find a car already with a manual and fix it up. Do get that suspension fixed. Mine rear wheels ...

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?
When I lift my car using a four-post automotive lift, I put the front pads on this subframe mount. Specifically, I put the pad touching the back two bolts and the center bulge. Is that a safe way to lift the car?

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?
Totally forgot…dusted off my Cold War skills and pulled off a dead drop with Firefox. We crossed paths in CT , both of us on tight schedules , and this couldn’t meet. We shook our CIA tails, and I dropped parts in a safe and secure location. The package is secure <begin encrypted message> package r...

Re: I spotted a Volvo! thread
A parking lot near me always has a lovely gold 244 and a handsome P80 XC70 in 421 Dark Olive Pearl. I've never noticed them move in years. Recently, the XC70 parked near the 244, so I sidled up next to my more rugged twin and took these pictures. Having finally stopped to look closely at the cars, t...

Re: How to approach a guy about buying his '96 855 R?
Consider telling him about your interest in the car, even if it's not an offer to buy. Imagine the worst case scenario: One day, he decides to get rid of it but never heard of your interest so it gets sold on Craigslist or scrapped. If he knows you're interested, and that you're a living nexus of th...
