Re: Resetting SRS Airbag light after DIM repair and question about dealing with dealership
They found a used dash for $225 and put it in for $160 , but the dealership had to update the software for another $226. Tiffany Replacing the DIM literally takes 5 minutes, actually less. Pull a plastic trim, remove 4 screws. You had bad luck with this story, but the good news is you ended by land...

Re: Weak Brakes on 95 T-5r
When you open the celiper bleeder and pump the brakes, does the fluid flow a lot or just a bit out of the bleeder? Try opening the bleeder, turn the ignition key to Pos II then pump the brake pedal fast and strong - place a 2" piece of wood under the pedal so it doesn't go to the floor. Repeat ...

Re: Dash Mat Recommendations?
I would skip on Chinese sellers, and check the US sellers on Ebay. For around 50$ got mine 3 years ago, still looks great. By all means, only black will get no reflections on the windshield. It also helps a lot keeping the dash from irradiating heat in the summer. You can see mine about 20min. into ...

Re: 05 V70 NA, "reduced engine performance"
Careful with what the shop says. Unless that's a very Volvo knowledgeable place, these are the kind of electrical issues hard to diagnose and they can come up with random repairs. The first thing, I'd measure the alternator output and check the cables around it Then perhaps, I'd go in this order (go...

Re: 2002 V70 2.4t NON-AWD Rear Shock replacement
These guys should last a couple of years and are not bad. Just don't expect them to be as refined as an original Volvo shock https://www.ipdusa.com/products/5870/112346-rear-shock-fwd-s60-v70-s80 If you can find the correct part for your car with the Volvo/Sachs yellow sticker it's worth the $20 ext...

Re: Soak injectors in Seafoam: good idea or disaster?
I just read this old thread, because I had a spare set of injectors soaking in Sea Foam for about 2 months now. Make sure to remove any rubber seal ring from the injector before soaking them. I put the injectors back in the car today and it sure runs smoother and have some extra power. Too early to ...

Re: Shimmy upon acceleration
How many miles? Was it doing it even with new control arms just installed? Some brands don't last 6 months But if that happened even with new arms, I would look first into the engine mounts, usually the lower (front of the engine) and the upper (top of the engine) torque mounts. If those don't look ...
