Re: Rough idle. Jerks. Gas smell
Indeed, later ETM also had problems. Also look around for vacuum leaks. Look at the large rubber hose after the air filter, pinch it everywhere look for a crack, all smaller hoses around too. Also need to use a good brand of MAF, I think it's Bosch on the turbo eng. Also look at the wires near conne...

Re: Flooded rear battery tray? 2007 XC90 3.2
You have rear drains as well. The tubes on the XC90 are quite larger than on the S60/V70, less probable to clog Front ones I put a hose from the sunroof hole, rear holes ae not usually accessible from the sunroof so I would try the same but from the bottom where the tube exits and with a small jet a...

Re: '04 V70 2,5T engine turn over, but won't start
Excellent tip above. I would also look close at the wires to the electrical connector for the coolant temp sensor (right on the thermostat housing). Also look with a flash light at the CEM for any water leaks (google up)

Re: '04 V70R ABS/Anti-Skid and Brake Assist Service
Also read about reluctor rings, BCM (ABS unit controller failure), clockspring sensor, yaw sensor, DEM module (not all necessarily related but worth a check while there)
Yours being a 2004 I would also inspect the CEM for any water leaks (not related but good a check)

Re: Wheel Bearing? Hit curb now there's noise!
Depending how bad it hit, the strut may also bent at the lower portion, so give it a look (I've seen this once). This would affect the wheel geometry and may cause the tire to get noisy Just before removing the bearing (which is not fun), when you had stripped the axle, brakes bracket and rotor, tur...

Re: CEM Issue?
The CEM would rather throw some dash lights and messages, have the transmission behave, things like that, not really full engine cut out or battery drain - possible, but I don't remember such evidence from forum talks. But you can always look with a flash light at the CEM from under the dash, look f...

Re: can anyone diagnose this broken mirror - trying to avoid dealer
The heating element is glued behind the glass part. I think your are also missing the pivot mount plate on which the mirror clamps. You can see the plate at 0:55 www.youtube.com/watch?v=qAUUiRhKWlA Try rather Ebay for a used unit

Re: 2005 XC90 2.5T Radiator Fan Removal
Do you know what is wrong with the compressor ? Some issues are rather related to the clutch. For the fan assy, it's very easy but you need to go slowly and check the harnesses nearby and also the upper transmission cooling line to the radiator (one with green clip, may need to slightly rotate it). ...
