He was pretty sure they'd find him in the spring when the snow melts. But that thing just dug it's way back out. He had it up to full rock h...

Re: Replacement exhaust

I've have used Bosal replacement systems ordered from FCP. They last about three years on average on the salted winter roads of NJ, but I send them back to FCP for warranty replacement (I'm on my second). They give my '98 V70 5 speed stick a throaty exhaust roar on acceleration, so if you want quiet...

I disagree a little. Volvo lists replacement for head bolts on short I6, the VEA 4 cylinders (Drive-E), and diesel white engines. All of these use torque plus two angles and I think some diesels uses two torques plus two angles. Red block and the gasoline white engines do not list head bolt replacem...

Re: How is your Volvo in snow?

My experience with old shocks is that they loose all damping properties so that the car only has the springs left. This is after they've leaked enough. So perhaps the stage after what orangex desceibes.

Re: hood release cable is seized

You will inevitably need to replace the cable, and possibly the pull lever too. You'll know if & when the pull lever breaks. The ball end of the cable mates up to a "socket" molded into the proximal end of the pull lever. Especially when it's cold, this likes to break rendering the pul...

Re: What did you do to your P2 Volvo today....now sticky!!

...and the icy window won't go down. That's my fear when the temperature drops, the outside strip get stuck on the window from ice, it's what causes those blue sliders to break (and sometimes even the regulator arms to bend) Have an habit from now on https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ke0dvms80Xw That...
