Re: P80 Broken dash mount repair method I use

Well here it is as a 'prototype document. I have added it as a PDF document due to the number of pictures in the document. This allows you to hopefully easily download it if you want to use the guide. I will look at adding the tools and materials first post as a PDF as well and update that with an a...

Re: volvo 850 Dashboard Speaker Size

reviving this: wanted to update the audio system for a long time but never really wanted to mess too much with custom mounting. I decided to go ahead now since I found these speakers: for the dash and boot: Faital 2FE24 https://faitalpro.com/en/products/LF_Loudspeakers/product_details/index.php?id=4...

Re: Is it possible to remove the engine of an S70 out the top, without removing the CV axles first?

The engine is out. I had to remove the axles. There was no way it was going to come otherwise.

90 degrees and humid here in Minnesota. It took me about 4 hours.

I lost 3.6 lbs. in that time.

I think I need to hydrate.

Re: Does this DICE/VIDA laptop setup on EBAY look Good in 2024?

Thanks Neil ! It seems to be well reviewed on Ebay - for what that's worth. I decided to try it. I recently relocated for work and lost my great mechanic, so I am hoping to be able to do more troubleshooting and repairs on my own. It's coming from the UK and I am in LA - so it will be a while before...

Re: 96 Volvo 850 AWD: Key Fob compatibility?

Volvo uses different fobs and receivers
in a number of worldwide markets. What
affects Volvo fobs in Europe may not
apply to cars in the US.

Re: 1997-850- Trans Valve Body Cover Seal?

I did this job recently and used sealant on both sides of the gasket (Duraprene) but don't know if that was really necessary. I also replaced the torx bolts with hex head. I torqued to about 10-15 ft-lbs and later realized that wasn't enough and had to retorque due to leaking at the bottom edge. I ...

Re: 1997-850- Trans Valve Body Cover Seal?

Update, mostly good but could have done better. I got it all back together and have driven over 500 miles since with no real shifting issues and no more arrow. There is an occasional delayed/sluggish shift in 1st to 2nd but I don't think the average driver would pick it up if not tuned in, it's pret...

Re: New Key Fob for 2000 V70R—part discontinued?

Update—phoned the prior owner on a whim and apparently their fob turned up after being missing for ages. Back up and running with 1 key + 1 fob—by the sounds of it, may cost a few hundred to get a 2nd proper set As this is long running question i now made personal example how program or register th...
