Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?
Yeah I've been living with an SRS light for a couple months because of the weather/buying a rehab house/fixing up my truck. It's ok to be burnt out and ok to focus on other things. Junkyards always help, you could check the list around here of Do Not Leave junkyard parts and stock up on spares/thin...

Re: SAS vacuum line?
That’s where the open shown end goes,
The other end goes to the SAS valve just in front of the firewall, attached to the little UFO that sits there
If it’s gone, don’t worry , they come back overnight for a visit

Re: Going into park trans.
Check the torque link that attaches the transmission to the subframe. If it's never been replaced, there's a good chance it's rotted out and allowing a lot of movement between gears. As far as the transmission internals go, definitely a good idea to keep the fluid nice and clean. A series of drain +...

The one up front at the engine looks like the rubber is broken.

Re: Going into park trans.
Chuck is probably right but I can't tell from that angle for sure. The long threaded bolt in the picture that runs under the cable is the top torque mount. They do fail. What I can't tell is if the inner part has separated from the outer. Basically you have 2 round pieces of rubber in that bush that...

Re: Looks like coolant
There is a heater hose attached right around that area, on the side of the head. Feel around and see if it's wet. I'm betting it's leaking right where it attaches to the fitting.

Re: Looks like coolant
If a heater hose is leaking, it is tempting to tighten down hard on the hose clamp. However, better long term results are likely if you drain some coolant below the hose level, remove the hose, clean the likely corrosion on the hose barb, cut off the end of the hose were it was clamped (assuming hos...

Re: Looks like coolant
Don’t put any of that stop leak crap in. It’s painful, but you have to fix these things the hard way

Re: Manifold bolt broke
Did it break off flush with the surface of the head? Did it break when undoing or when tightening?

Re: Manifold bolt broke
You should be fine. At least it's on the intake side, not the exhaust. Lots of room to work and since the intake really doesn't get hot, I doubt there would be any warping if you ended up without a bolt. If it's sticking out, then vice grips might do it. If it's flush or below the surface, then a re...
