Thanks for the advice, I posted the car on Charlottesville, VA craigslist. There was a lot of interest and the car sold for my asking price of $1200.

The problem is fixed ! Replacing the front oxygen sensor dropped the long term fuel trim by a few percent but it was still too high under heavy loads.
