My icarsoft Volvo scanner can reset SRS light (at least it did on my S80, haven't had to try it on the C70 yet). Costs around $110 in the US I believe and has been extremely helpful so far in diagnosing different issues. VIDA/DICE scares me too much when I read all that's involved in making it work....

Would be good if you can scan for codes, but my guess would be to check the turbo control valve (TCV). Just replaced the one on mine, as that had been 'McGyvered' by some previous owner/mechanic and was throwing a code, and inhibiting acceleration as you describe. They do have a tendency to fail. The other point of failure on the axles are the inner bearings. If those go, the car doesn't make that clacking sound thru corners, but will vibrate under accelleration. Volvo original axles are sturdy so hold onto those if not worn out.

The majority yes, fortunately (not like with Ebola where the death rate is around 50%). However, even a small % of 331 million Americans is still a couple million people. The question will be, how much do the other 95% care?

I do think recognizing the fact that government officials made big mistakes ("assigning blame") is highly useful because it clarifies who you should stop believing or following, and opens the door to better quality decisions. It's not too late and every individual can influence the traject...
