2006 S40 T5 Battery Terminal B+ Broken
Quick back story. About a week ago my S40 just cut off while driving. I put the vehicle in park, but could not pull the key. At this point I figured it was a power issue. I opened the hood and lifted the battery cover. Somehow this moved something and the headlights lit up. After that nothing else f...

Re: 2006 S40 T5 Battery Terminal B+ Broken
Just an update for future viewers. I found a 150amp fuse at NAPA Auto Parts. I attached it to the cable #13 on the image above with a nut and bolt. The other end of the fuse mounted right up to the terminal #2 on the image above. It actually does not look to bad. Any way everything works fine. I wen...

Re: 98 V70 does this TB path have wobble?
I wouldn't take another look. I believe it's fine. I see that slight movement a lot.

Re: Stumped on parasitic draw on battery 2002 C70 convertible
I couldn't dig up the 2002 wiring diagram but I think the C70 mirrors the " bastard" 1999-200x early siting That shows fuse 15 also feeds control voltage to the power window circuit, which I think is a likely suspect. Maybe locate the power relay there and try pulling that and testing load...

Re: 2000 2.9l What to do? Sell or fix and keep forever.
Alas, we have to carry the burden of not knowing the outcomes of these real life dramas along with those parenting moments of ‘ what was she thinking’ as we help stuff the parts into the 55 gallon drum of waste oil Nay, I say. The burden is not yours to carry. I ended up selling the car, and regret...

Re: 2000 volvo s80 t6 rough idle and stalls
As the car ran well before the head work the best approach is to assume your O2 sensors and similar are good. That said you need to check your work - start with the timing as this is always a tricky part. See here: https://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=87735 Then look at ...

Re: P0011
P0011 = ECM-5F Camshaft reset valve. Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information Condition The engine control module (ECM) calculates the camshaft position in relation to the crankshaft using the camshaft position (CMP) sensor and engine speed (RPM) sensor signals. The control module adjusts the camsh...

Re: 1999 S80 cranks but doesn't start, Brake failure, Stop ASAP
The temps are a fictional value calculated from ambient and increased for time brakes are on and reduced for time off brakes. No temp sensors are used. Ignore this, as it is a symptom of the network issue keeping ABS module from knowing ambient temp. There is likely a network wire issue. If you move...

1999 T5V70M56 road incident report, misfiring [ bad #2 coil]
Preamble, mileage on car 239748 I thought I detected rough running for the last two week at startup and cold idle, but after 60 seconds idle was smooth, so I took no action. I did check #3 plug and found it at 0.032 with some tip wear, and meant to compare it to new, plugs have 24k on them, Volvo OE...
