Will Rit dye work for exterior trim? Mine look all dull gray. The exterior trim is plastic Rit will work, or you can use Forever Black. Forever Black is a dye not a wax. Will Rit dye work for exterior trim? Mine look all dull gray. volvolugnut 3 of mine looked terrible too, with the starting of the “stretch marks” or “zebra stripes” on the plastic cladding. I used this stuff several times with very good results. Cars that sit outside year round seem much more prone...
