Re: Bend your wiper arms? Bollocks I say!(It's a wiper arm f
Good to know - I may try this on my S70 this weekend before I head out for Thanksgiving. It has new blades, but the left one has been streaking on the down-stroke, and I too have tried bending the thing. It's annoying when it's only lightly raining outside. BTW, I've added this into the repair data...

Re: A "REAL" fix for the 850 wiper arms
Yeah, I have the S70 arms installed in reverse now where the pass side arm is on the driver's side and vice versa. No interference with the hood. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v242/tjts2/DSC05401.jpg?t=1294761553 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v242/tjts2/DSC05399.jpg?t=1294761589 You can see ...

Re: 1996 850 Brake Lights Don't Work
There's plastic tabs on the bottom and top. Squeeze the bottom ones in with a knife/screwdriver and wiggle it downwards, and it'll come right out of the bracket.

Re: Windshield Wiper Liftoff - in the middle
Thanks to so many of you who have helped in many repairs on my 850T. I just wanted to put in my 2 cents for this issue. Both of my wipers were off the glass 1-2" when the arms reached the highest point of the cycle. I read about the grinding method and switching to s70 arms, but thought I'd tak...

Re: Windshield Wiper Liftoff - in the middle
Does it matter what year the S70 wiper arm comes from?

Re: A "REAL" fix for the 850 wiper arms
The best solution that I know of is to take the PASSENGER side wiper arm from a S70 and install it on the DRIVER side of the 850.

Re: 850 Ebrake cable replacement: How to
Below is a Volvo Dealer website (Kansas City dealer):
http://thevpstore.com/
If you enter 9209756 and 9485386, the price is the same...
But as you said one is for 2WD, and another is for AWD model.

Re: 850 Ebrake cable replacement: How to
It is weird that so many have issues with the parking brake and the holding ability. I can't say I have had an issue with the parking brake (this is a parking brake and not as we called in Britain a hand brake which is much more effective!!). The largest issue I find is seized or partially seized ca...

Re: 850 Ebrake cable replacement: How to
I use a bolt cutter and cut the cable close to the wheel and the floor to make it easier to remove, especially if it is seized in the jacket

Re: DIY: Serpentine Belt EZ-Tool (<$2) & Routing
Just changed my tensioner today, and this combo worked great. I used a 1/2" to 3/4" socket adapter and a 19mm open end wrench. The drive part of the adapter is long enough to go into the tensioner and leave just enough space for the wrench. I tried using the adapter on a 1/2" ratchet ...
