Understanding Camshaft Flank Angle - Enlightenment in Progress ECM 644A
I have been fighting this code for a week now, and found this reference (the most annoying ad laden website I have ever seen , by the way) on how cam flank angle works and is reported The ECM 644A Code is misleading - it has a "Cam overadvanced text' but in fact is reported for any flank angle ...

Re: Fuel Pressure Regulator NOT the problem.
I know this is an old thread but it’s still being accessed, so I offer some additional info that has taken me 3 weeks to work out; there are several different fuel control systems on P2 V70s, XC70s and XC90s dependant on year/month. the system often discussed has a PEM (or FCU) which controls fuel ...

Re: New V70 II T5 owner - introduction and general advice
Yeah the car is definitely driveable, for now it's just a minor annoyance. I've been turning the ignition on and off for 10 seconds at a time, about 4-5 times whenever the car sits overnight, and it always starts immediately. If it sits for just a couple hours, I can get by doing this just 2 or 3 t...

Re: New V70 II T5 owner - introduction and general advice

I couldn't find pump duty cycle and it doesn't allow pump actuation from vida, but then you only need to turn the ig key to ...

Re: New V70 II T5 owner - introduction and general advice
To watch fuel pressure while driving, I have run a fuel pressure line from the end of the fuel rail out the corner of the hood to view from the drivers seat. You can remove the internal check valve from the Schrader valve to get flow to the remote gauge.

Re: New V70 II T5 owner - introduction and general advice
VIDA needs a vehicle scan to generate a profile of the car to populate the information menu. The first scan will take some time because theres probably a bunch of legacy codes that were fixed but not cleared. I would make a note of them before clearing and re-scanning. Once you have that first scan ...

Re: Parts brands - OE Volvo, trusted aftermarket, and bad
Rubber is a place where the cost cutting comes back to boil you over. Volvo rubber seems to last 20 years plus and those turbo hoses are getting baked Even Volvo brand hoses must be suspect these days, to the point where quality aftermarket like do88 may be better. I bought Volvo brand coolant hose...
