Re: What did you do to your P2 Volvo today?
1st post of the year in this thread. I hope everyone had a good New Years day. I'm hoping this is my year to restore Scarlet my 96 850 turbo wagon. I've been saving the last 2 years to buy basically all new suspension, bushings and motor mount as well as a number of maintenance items. The plan is by...

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?
A full suspension refresh is underway for my 850 wagon. I had a productive weekend and got half the garage cleaned out to make room for Scarlett. 20250917_143910.jpg She's sat there untouched for a year. I dropped a new battery in and she started right up. 20250917_161341.jpg Big order from FCP arri...

Re: Need advice for starting a car sitting for 3 years 96 850 R
Another way to drain the tank is a hand operated fluid transfer pump with a hose down the filler neck. That way the filter isn't getting gummed up if there is any debris.

Re: Volvo M56 Shifter Bushings Upgrade Kit (P80 series)
Nice-looking bit of kit. We do a bit of printing with Nylon (and higher temp industrial materials) at work. It's not terrible to print with the proper equipment. Ive heard if you prep everything right you can print nylon on a bambu lab printer. Im sure your job has better options but the little guy...

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?
The time has come. Pulled out the liftgate pistons while waiting for new ones to be delivered. I only cracked 3 plastic panels getting to them.

Currently rebuilding my tail lights with JB weld since these cannot be purchased new. Im considering taking a small brush and covering every square inch of the tail light housing in JB weld to reduce future crumbling. 20251219_210737.jpg 20251219_210753.jpg 20251219_212715.jpg 20251220_215926.jpg

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?
So my lesson was worth 140 euro plus 120 for new spring compressor. I have learned… to not go back to that shop. The star nut was upside down  Edit: and they didn’t use the rubber spacer. Luckily I had spares. Dude the helmet is perfect. Its giving "Chris Fix" vibes. I have used a w...

What was the reason for replacing the PNP switch? Was the plug clean?
