Re: Difference between Sachs and OEM struts?
I'll throw in my 2c. I don't think any Sachs offer the same feeling as the original Volvo ones. They furnished the original equipment, but it doesn't mean they sell the exact same product in aftermarket with the same quality of internals. With this in mind, there is more than one quality in the Sach...

Re: New wheel bearing feels notchy
Resistance is ok on a new one as it will feel somewhat tight. But the 'notchy' bit may not be ok. That might imply a defect of either a bearing or race that wasn't caught by QA. You might call FCP customer service. Describe what you're feeling and see what they say. They may say that's normal for a ...

Funny literally same thing happened. Pre-emptive summer tire change over today because of a blowout a few weeks ago. I don't feel ...

Re: suspension/alignment totally stumped
I can think of a few things to check: - something is bent from the flat tire event. Should show up in a 4 wheel alignment. - you did not put the tires back on the car in the same location you removed them from. Steel belted tires cannot be crossed from one side to the other as the steel belts take u...

Re: 04 volvo xc70 car dies
Your car doesnt have a PEM or a fuel pressure sensor. Runs at full duty. I’m thinking vacuum leak. Causing it to run rich and reek of fuel? Check the purge valve hose tree that goes up to the intake manifold. Change fuel filter for giggles. I’ve heard of contaminated fuel/tanks causing it too. Crank...

Re: 04 volvo xc70 car dies
Idk about 2004 XC70 but my 2004 V70 has a PEM sitting above the metal fuel tank.
