Re: Volvo Findings! (What have you found on Craigslist?)
What are people’s thoughts on this... https://sfbay.craigslist.org/nby/cto/d/san-rafael-2000-volvo-v70-all-wheel/7198889656.html 14F4A275-07F5-4686-B1BF-F8D7B25CBAC3.jpeg It looks great. Good service history, low miles, highly favorable climate for a Volvo. Will need some maintenance as it ages but...

Re: Volvo Findings! (What have you found on Craigslist?)
Overpriced. It’s a flipper who paid 2k for it. The VIN is troubling. An R with automatic is just sadness. If he's lying about the work he's done, it very well could be. Otherwise, as a flipper myself, I would never pay $5,500 for the dealer to replace a transmission on a flip car. Agreed on the las...

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?
Well, The PCV has "flow" if there is a lack of adequate vacuum, oil will go where it can, if the air rushing past from the cooling fan made enough pressure differential, it could theoretically siphon vapor from a split hose or loose fitting. more likely a bad hose just spewing. Possibly t...

Re: FDPP #2
Glad to hear it's running well now! Hopefully this was the biggest hurdle, and you'll just need to do small stuff from this point to get it all straightened out.
750 RPM is right where it should be, my brother's '03 idles right around there.

Very luxurious S40! lol
I love that garage floor. I would love to refinish mine eventually. I just don't feel like moving anything.

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?
Ah, if that's the case then it would probably be worth looking into.brunocerous wrote: ↑17 Oct 2020, 07:44 The positive and the B+ cables had been changed by the PO, so I wonder if there's an ongoing issue lurking.
Never a dull moment!

Re: M56 manual transmission Swap: The Ultimate Parts List
Does 98 t5m ecu will work on 99 v79R ? or 99 ecm needs to be flashed? The '98 ECU is Motronic 4.4, the '99 has Motronic 7. So no, they are not compatible. You'll need to reflash the '99 ECU to manual, which can be done by Hilton Tuning. That can be ordered here: https://hiltontuning.com/product/vol...

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?
Dragged my old '98 GLT home from Copart! Ended up winning the auction on Monday after the owner after me wrecked the car back in August. This will be a parts car at this point, I don't think it's worth fixing it. Hooked up the jump pack when I got home and it started right up. Runs great still! Drov...

Re: M56 manual transmission Swap: The Ultimate Parts List
Steering rack replacement on 99 V70R for manual swap question. Can I use any FWD rack from C/S/V 70??? Yup, any FWD rack works if you're using an M56. I feel like there MAY have been a difference with later C70 racks, but I can't confirm. TRW and SMI racks are interchangeable, you just need to use ...
