Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?
Not a Volvo but I refurbished my Harbor Freight Chicago Electric 18 Volt battery pack, which is NLA. Got a Porter Cable PC18B battery pack and scavenged the NiMH cells out of it. Then transferred the NiMH cells to the Chicago Electric case. After you get the (+) (-) leads reversed the Ni-Mh cell pac...

Re: Hydroplaned into a tree with the love of my life. The consensus is this is totaled. Can I get a second opinion?

Re: Engine wiring harness separate, or combined with the rest of the wiring?
You can disconnect the Engine bay harness from the rest of the car. Remove the cowl under the Windshield. The connectors are at the left end. The Split Loom Wire Conduit covering the wires can be replaced. Cut the tape on the old and remove. Cut new to length and tape on. It is normal for the Condui...

Re: Hydroplaned into a tree with the love of my life. The consensus is this is totaled. Can I get a second opinion?
Had a $400 69 Corona beater that I put in a used Japanese motor besides the clutch and flywheel. Yes, in my mid 1980's younger days. Put a lot of time and effort and then had someone rear end it while parked. The driver ran off and left his car. The police said the owner did not know who had his ca...

Re: Code P0027, which solenoid ?
Any idea of a good way to release the bolt on B? i cant seem to be able to release it, not manually and not with impact driver drill. its just on the edge of breaking the hex teeth... If you are using a Hex bit you are using the wrong tool. It is a Torx so use a Torx bit. If a Torx bit will not bre...

Re: CVVT worn out?
From what I recall. You can get the Cam cover off without removing a Non-VVT gear from the camshaft but a VTT will catch on the head.850T5Ritalia wrote: ↑06 Sep 2020, 04:15 Thank you for the instructions. So just to be clear, this video is also missing the steps of taking the gear loose from the hub? Is that really necessary?

Re: Supra Turbo GoPro inside intake while driving
Can anyone here explain the science behind say the quick condensation cloud between shifts? The boiling point of a fluid is a function of Temperature and Pressure . You are seeing water in the air flash to a vapor when the pressure in the Intake Manifold goes low. Then back to a liquid when the pre...

Re: How do this cylinder walls look?
Think I may the drop the pan and give everything a good clean and flush. That would be a good idea. There is a reason I ask which came out first. The chocolate milk or Antifreeze? If it was Antifreeze of significant quantity. It means a lot of water got in the crankcase. If the bearings have been s...
