Re: Pull tranny and motor or just the motor?

The M56 has to be drawn back (to left side of car) several cm (15-20?) to disconnect flywheel from M56 input shaft so you cant pull the engine up leaving the M56 in.

Re: Pull tranny and motor or just the motor?

I've always pulled the motor and gearbox together, taking them apart in the car looks like a pain (but I might be wrong).

Goes out from the top, just need to go slow and avoid damaging the ABS module (a load balancer on the engine hoist helps)

Re: Pull tranny and motor or just the motor?

Don't forget the steering shaft from the steering rack! Also the muffler will need to be disconnected somewhere as well. Then I would suggest removing the radiator/ AC cooler to give more wiggle room. Then there is the A/C connection to the dryer. You have already covered wiring. Good Luck! Definite...

Re: 96 850 R manual swap - reflashing of ECU necessary

Some mods (software or hardware) allow you to keep AC with a M4.4 conversion, not all tuner might want to do the software one though

Re: What is it worth and which is better project? - 97 850R sedan or 00 S70 NA

I'd pick an 850 over a '98-'00 all day, every day. At least for something I was wanting to keep around. If I read your post correctly, you'd be thinking about (eventually) selling whichever car you bought, or was that just the NA? If the plan is just to flip it, pick the one that will take the least...

Re: Tread depth difference between front tires

Addition.

No Volvo spec others than Volvo makes no recommendation on tire rotation, as in “ we make no recommendation “

BMW X drive spec is 2 mm for tread difference

I would worry more about your caliper paint. Green for starboard , red for port. Swap when coming home overseas

Re: Power steering rack brand opinions and experiences, Feb 2022

Are the ps racks identical on all FWD p80 models or were there different suppliers? There were two OE suppliers, SMI (hex shape on bottom of the steering shaft) and TRW ( round shape) You can use either one but the inner tie rods have to match the rack as they are different. The outer toe rods are ...

Re: NA head on 2.3 Turbo?

Valves are Na filled on the turbo head, not Na filled on the NA.

Na fill is N/A on the NA.

Also on this point, FWIW, the 93 NA cams are preferred over other, later years. They have slightly higher lobes. But maybe thhat's the 93 year for North American cars, not European?
