Re: Fuel Pump Relay Examinations 1998 v70 non turbo

Try here Al: https://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=9681 Neil. Wow that's a big thanks, that is a great explanation and also confirms my suspicion that either of the electrolytic caps are bad. I cant thank you enough. Re: Fuel Pump Relay Examinations 1998 v70 non turbo

If you become a junkyard regular, you usually end up with several of these. I recently used one to help a 'new' 850 owner with the poor running of their car. It would be good to have a 'proper' way of testing these off the car, and especially if we end up rebuilding them to know the work was succes...

Sounds an awful lot like the problem I was just posting about the temperature sensor below the thermostat housing. The Facet temp sensor is sold by FCP with many good reviews and is working so far in my car. They sell for about $18 on Amazon U.S. Neil, I'd question those Volvo OEM sensors. The one i...

Re: Maintenance Log - An expensive and naive s70 rebuild - life lessons earned and the quest to make it worth it.

some personal finance types say a car should cost you no more than $1500 per year average over the course of ownership) Personal finance people are stupid wankers Average driver in US , 12000 miles per year Fed gives you 50 cents per mile for a new car, of which half is depreciation , so in average...

The Million Mile Volvo !

Hello there, This is a Volvo that was driven a million miles. It's a 1987 but thought this was a good place to post it. One thing i noticed is that the people who get very high mileage out of their cars usually do their own maintenance or at least most of it. Dont know the full story behind this car...

Re: Lowest price 850 I've ever seen (Hot Wheels)

We have multiples of all of them, I think, between me and my oldest.

I also painted up a mini version of my wife's car for her.

Re: Volvo 850 T5 - Old chiptuning (SAM)

It's absolutely a good story, and I do believe it's true, at least parts of it. Linking to an article from a Danish newspaper years ago including a youtube clip from 94 as well. However in the clip the car isn't red but white/blue. The article explains it in a way that Steffanson Automotive (SAM) wa...
