Remove the fuel line at the engine and see if you can get fuel flow. Check that the pump runs by sound. If no flow and the pump seems to be running, you have crud in fuel lines or filters. Sitting for years will cause fuel line blockage. You may have to clean the fuel tank and all lines. I have done...

Update: turns out the car probably kinda needs the crank sensor plugged in. Found it lying under the bottom radiator hose. Turns out these connectors aren't as unique as I thought. Still working on getting the other connectors where they need to be.

You can disconnect the wiring harness at the ECU box. Remove the two engine side parts of the ECM/TCM connectors and undo the ground under the pass light.
