Re: 2004 XC70 leaks at the cat converter
I'll be doing it myself this fall. With low miles and no codes I would say theres nothing wrong with your cat. I have 230K miles and I'm not changing the cat. Heres the plan. unscrew O2 sensors from exh. Pull the section from the manifold to the aft cat flange. Make a jig to hold the pipe in its pro...

Re: P80 P2 Subframe Bushing installation with pictures 3507923
I think this is probably a good idea. I've done a bunch of searching on this and Volvo has come up with this solution as a service bulletin to address a mysterious noise that seems to occur in a small percentage of cars and XC 90's (maybe other models). If I had to do this job again I think I would ...

Re: Fuel Pump Recall announced
Read my post above - you should be covered if you push it. I dont think they want the liability of your car burning up.

Re: Fuel Pump Recall announced
2004 XC70. I first noticed gas smell in interior about two weeks ago. Confirmed a slow, low volume leak from the cap of the fuel pump. See attached photo. No fuel on any other portion of the pump or elsewhere. Original owner. Car purchased and registered continuously in Massachusetts. Never receive...

Re: Fuel Pump Recall announced
Read my post above - you should be covered if you push it. I dont think they want the liability of your car burning up. ..... Volvo replaced my 02 S60 fuel pump a couple years ago. Had well over 150k miles and multiple owners. No charge. I’m in Iowa so not part of the original recall. Had to call V...

Re: 2003 Volvo V70 Vibration at Idle, Not Engine Mounts, This One Has Me Beat..HELP
My 08 s60 2.5T does not vibrate that much in idle. My motor mounts looked "good" but were sagging (hydraulic ones) and one was replaced which made it a bit better. How is your top mount? Is it a rubber or poly mount, i have heard the poly mounts can transfer more vibrations through the whe...

Re: Fuel Pump Recall announced
If I recall correctly I did take it in, with backseat removed so dealer had a clear view of the pump and could not charge me a diagnostic fee. Thanks. It's fairly easy if I drive the car to the dealer. I'm hesitating due to the perhaps wiser plan of towing both ways if they don't cover it. Coincide...

Re: repairing interior plastic
. These should probably work for most small repairs. I've used super glue and baking soda with success, similar to the last video. . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lkaKLowAsrI https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_qaFIg1yQuc https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Ax55T-CCRE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hk1...

Re: Fuel Pump Recall announced
- Drove to dealer who did steering wheel air bag recall. Good color match (black) but not the same surface "reflection". It's fine. - Unlike for other owners Volvo Customer Care would not cover fuel pump recall because we are beyond the extended warranty period offered outside the recall ...
