Re: Headlights turned themselves on during the night

Most likely the SWM (Steering Wheel Module) it has the steering column stalks sticking out of it (Turn Signal, Wipers .. ect). About $16.00 at a PNP and 1/2 hour of labor to change it when you know what you are doing. Figure an hour the first time through. You will need to disconnect the battery and...

Re: Headlights turned themselves on during the night

They all do that, Ma’am. 😀😀 I pulled our Odyssey's apart and clean it as it was making a relay under the dash click rapidly. From intermittent to full on clicking all the time so my wife wouldn't drive it. Drove me crazy after awhile also so tackled it. No steering wheel removal so it wasn't so bad...

Very dirty oil, the old owner must have never changed it at all. But thanks to everyone, it gave me confidence to actua...

Re: Oil recommendation

Some more advice - every gas fill or two pull the oil stick and check the color of the oil as well as its level. This will give you an idea on whether the engine has been properly maintained. It should remain pretty clean for at least 1000 miles, so 3-5 gas fills. Level should not really drop. After...

Re: We reached Peak Boring in 2011

Thanks June. They may have been heavy and used lots of gas, but these cars had class. A former employer had a fleet of the Ford LTDs that were similar. I drove a lot of them from the motor pool. They were always red and had the cheapest interior. In earlier years the company would delete the radio t...
