Looking really good.
Maybe a new copper ring for the oil drain plug.

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?
I reinstated the insurance on my red v70. Then I spent about 2 hours working on it. I hooked up a 2nd horn (factory) to the wolo low tone. Sounds better. I installed the factory fuel injector cover and the factory Throttle body cover. I installed the factory AI hose from air box to core support. I r...

Re: A easier way to replace transmission fluid
I see the convenience factor of using an external pump as a plus rather than dashing back and forth for the key, but I usually have another warm body home with us at school without a paycheck for a year. Anything less than awesome for June DIY isn’t fitting enough. We did the Gibbons method ( hose p...

Re: A easier way to replace transmission fluid
* I have 2 two oil extractors so haven't needed to pull the drain plugs on the transmission or oil pan for sometime. Last year I purchased a 5 gallons bucket of transmission fluid so will buy a pump now, thanks June, to pump clean fluid into the pan. I've considered the electric pump previously, bef...

Re: Fuel pump relay question?
Bentley manual says you should be able to hear a buzzing sound at the fuel filler opening when the engine is running IF the in tank pump is running. There is also a fuse (#4?) for the in tank pump. You can also lift the carpet in the trunk and test the current to the in tank pump. Your pump should h...

Re: Fuel pump relay question?
I kept the functional but very old relay when we replaced it recently on advice from this forum. I haven't tried opening it up yet, but has anyone had success rebuilding/refurbishing one? BTW, we've also started marking the sides of relays and other suitable items (like the alternator) we replace wi...

Re: Fuel pump relay question?
I have not tried it, but the relays are said to often be repaired by resoldering all the internal connections.

Re: Pennzoil Platinum 5W30 in V70/XC70
I don't discount your experience, but Redline has protected mine exceptionally well. With regard to mechanical wear I saw maybe 30% of wear found in a similar engine (same T2) with about same miles. Using boutique oils like Red Line and Amsoil Signature and short OCI does help with the wear. My per...

Re: 740 shock and strut extra parts question
. Not an expert or familiar with 740's but did have an ASE in Suspension and Steering. Good test taker . From looking at all the different offering on CariD and the explanation of the design they should be the same. FCP I think would provide a caution if not a warning if you required additional...
