Re: B5234T vs B5234T3 swap

Did a lot of research last night. I think everything will be good to go. Just not sure if I will have to swap over the engine wiring harness to accommodate ME4.4? Leave all of the ancillary parts that are NOT engine/head from the '98. Put everything, intake, exhaust. turbo, harness, etc from the 98...

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?

Replaced the blown out tie rods (inner and outer), replaced the sway bar links, re-replaced the sway bar links after the Meyle HD link broke, and went and got the alignment done. Yeah, that's a load of crap lol. Lock the steering wheel straight, then adjust the tie rods to spec. Done. Sounds like t...

Re: 98-00 Center Console compatibility?

So I do not believe a C70 console will be plug and play in an S/V 70.

It does require some extra tools, but they aren't expensive. https://turbochuckcom.ipage.com/webimages/projects/97%20Volvo%20854T5/2022/W...

Don’t forget to watch Roberts video on doing stem seals on-car.

Re: Safe to block off turbo oil supply for testing?

It’s an open drain back to the dump, correct. Don’t spin up the turbo with no oil

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?

Having just removed all the exhaust bolts, that is most certainly an exhaust stud. There may be enough tension across the exhaust manifold to prevent a leak. You would need to move the exhaust shield to see. Could also send a bore scope camera to visualize the studs.
