OK, I should report on the findings and hopefully the conclusion to this saga. As I mentioned above, with your help, I cleaned some fuses and put them back in snug. I pushed all the fuses in snug. The DIM was plugged in and unplugged several times - all the same way, with a solid CLICK from the catc...

This 2002 belongs to a guy we know. He's put a lot of money into it, with top quality shops. Paint is beautiful. I sat in it, never rode in it. Very good condition.

18 months, wow. That’s frustrating. I did mine on the floor, but I think you could also do them on the car using the simple pipe method with a dead blow hammer. Diameter just wide enough to not pinch the ball joint boot. Ace Hardware. Don’t pull the ball joint up tight with the bolts - it’s aluminum...
