P2 XC70 rear suspension

Whilst changing the snow tires I studied the rear suspension a bit. Apologies to all the East Coast and Toronto and Michigan cars - I see shiny springs with the red paint code still there. I think you’re comparing P2 to P3 series? There shouldn’t be transmission issues with good fluid - those problems were mostly 2001 and 2002. I bought a cheap Harbor Freight plastic welder (mostly just blows very hot air) to repair a crack in a plastic fuel tank. As said above, the correct plastic is critical - look for the manufacturing codes molded into the part. And it was a messy process - not something for an exposed finish surface. ...
