Re: What did you do to your P2 Volvo today....now sticky!!

Did the 330' km oil change last week and yesterday I ordered a stage 1 optimisation for the car. Been thinking about it since i got it. When I caught myself looking at BMW V8s longingly I realised it was time for some more oomph  252hp/410Nm. It'll be interesting. Now it's in and there's a cl...

Re: Headlight glass replacement?

As far as I know they're lightly glued as well as clipped together so you need to heat them up so that the glass and seal is warm but not warmer than that it's still comfortable to work with.

Over here they're quite easy to find so someone over there should have them.

Re: Retrofitting headlight wipers on a V70 wagon, do I need a software upgrade?

An educated guess: In Europe where most of these were sold every single car had them. There wasn't an option to go without. Therefore I'm guessing that if you pop them in there they'll work since they didn't bother to remove them from any software. It should be easy enough to test, just find the con...

Re: Detailing Products

The mitt comes in a fine and a coarser grade, I only have used the heavier grade. Fine and coarse grade ... sounds like an abrasive. Might be good for leveling, cutting and polishing but a abrasive is not a replacement for a Clay Bar. A Clay Bar is Play Dough for your car. A Clay Bar lifts contamin...

Ahoy there! Re: S80 T6 Engine destruction X2 Volvos are tough!

In Europe these kinds of incentives are not even disguised as anything but a way to get cars of the road so people have to buy new ones and support the industry. In US, car modification is just about whatever you want to do in most regions. In at least one European country, like Germany, vehicles m...

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today? (now Sticky!!)

We have a lot of pines here.. ;-) Lukewarm water and no rubbing on bird droppings. They help scratch the paint if rubbed. And you need to be pretty quick about it too. Less so on metallic paints they seem hardier. But they won't really go away unless washed properly with schampoo much like the film ...

Re: 2004-xc70 turbo does not shut off

I think this needs a little clarification. Is it the cooling fan that runs full speed all the time and your car has a turbo or is it something with the turbo?
