Re: 2000 S70 radiator core support replacement need help.
Fan and shroud are easier from the top, in my opinion ( not when bent, though ), and the radiator bottom mounts, so up from under. If you can just finish destroying the bent stuff, it may come out as one, but might be easier to handle in smaller chunks. Since the old pieces are headed for the recycl...

Re: 2000 S70 radiator core support replacement need help.
Looking back, the only reason "R" showed up here was your mention of the donor car, and saying it was a 56 code; my '98 R is 52 code. Since your bumper, spoiler and air guide stuff is intact, it looks like the only things you need from the donor - aside from the tin and plastic stuff alrea...

Re: 2000 S70 radiator core support replacement need help.
At some point you will have to have a hard look at the hood/fender fitment. That may give you an idea if more adjustments are needed.
In normal times, there isn't a lot of room to spare between the front of the motor and the fan stuff.

Wow you aind just kiddin, its a tight squeeze. Got it in, finishing final electrical reconnections. immediately after the accident I noted the starter would click only, guess I better figure that out before is all put back together The donor vehicle made it all possible, I could never have done it ...

Re: 2000 V70 XC, post collision repair : no start
Automatic? Main ground from battery to transmission housing connected...also from battery to behind driver's side headlight? B+ cable from battery to starter and from starter to alternator connected? Starter ok and it's wiring? Relays on fan shroud should also all be connected. ETM damaged? Airbags ...

Re: 2000 V70 XC, post collision repair : no start
You will need the wiring diagram for starter circuit. Trace the signal wire from ignition switch or fuse box,put it out of use and run a new one. You don't want a damaged wire from ignition switch or fuse box to dangle around and to cause a short circuit. Apparently...line from ignition switch to fu...

Re: 2000 V70 XC, post collision repair : no start
The starter circuit is impressively complex. The ignition switch terminal 50 connects to the hot trigger side of the starter relay. The ground side of the relay is grounded by the 2/76 lock controller, under command from the ECU Both functions , presence of 12V at relay, and logic enabling cranking,...

Re: 2000 S70 radiator core support replacement need help.
Without wiring diagrams we can’t really discuss this efficiently. If you jump the remote starter terminal in the white connector to a key position III ( crank position) source of 12V AND the PnP is I working order AND the green wire from PnP to starter solenoid terminal is good, that will work

Re: 2000 S70 radiator core support replacement need help.
Ok. So it is either the PNP or the wiring from the relay to the starter , through the PNP, where the fault is located.
That bypass will let you start the car in any gear so be careful there
