The connector is not available anywhere. And what gauge wires did you use or did you trim the old ones ...

I have zero electrical knowledge and could not figure out what gauge or what wire the red wires are I found a site that sells the pigtails but the offer a "fat red" or regular and I do not want to order the wrong part ...or even have to order it if I can just rebuild or refabricate a conn...

Remove fuel pump relay and put a paper clip between pins 15 & 87 in order to rule out bad fuel pump relay.
Other than that..i would say that fuel pump pick-up screen is clogged from dirt in the tank since you drove it almost with empty tank before re-fueling.

I spent months chasing an electrical or fuel issue. The car would have trouble starting, but intermittently.

Finally replaced the starter (170,000 mile original) and that fixed the issue. Usually the solenoid just dies, but these Bosch starters are so good, that they just slowly go out.
