Re: What did you do to your Volvo today? (now Sticky!!)

Yeah, most paint will do that. Definitely don't rub it at all, try to remove it quickly.
Typically a quick detailer works pretty well to remove the stains left behind. Just try to clean it up quickly to avoid any kind of etching.

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today? (now Sticky!!)

OEM parts for everything if you want to run the car long term. Spark plugs are important too, especially in turbo models. We have had a couple of stutter threads resolved by switching to Volvo plugs

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today? (now Sticky!!)

So a while back I used Carpro Hyrd02. I washed, clayed, and polished the coat before using this stuff and the S70 was like new. Water just slided right of the coat. Now, 1 month later, I'm not really all too happy with the product. The shine is gone, because of the salt on the roads and snow, so I ...

Flash code reader. Lots of excellent posts on here already detailing how to make it and read it. All you need is three bits of wire and a 12v led. A switch makes things easier but isn't required. Heres a link on how to read the codes: click Heres another two on how to make it: link 1 and link 2

Re: 1998 S70 2.5 10V B5252S PCV questions

Most parts fit the same however the 10v wasn’t available in North America, so FCP or IPD won’t list it , try Volvopartsoline.com. There is no breather hose to the top cam cover and the short hose from the breather box to the bock is slightly different (can’t remember why or how ), I ordered that hos...

Re: 1999 S70 GLT Power Steering Foam - cause - missing return baffle in pump reservoir

There is usually some grease on the PS reservoir from the foaming of the fluid, if it’s damp but not wet, don’t worry about it. Just wiped it off with a paper towel once a month, then use the Paper to check the level, and then your oil Tuck the Paper towel into the top of your shock tower because th...
