As the owner of two S60s, a 2001 and a 2003, one of which was free and the other I paid $1600 for the car and a spare motor... I would say this car and about $1800 will get you a reliable driver worth about $3200.

Does the car continue to show codes? If you are reading them using VIDA (the Volvo software,) or other reader, post the codes. One suspect would be the ETM (electronic throttle module,) but that would throw a code at some point if the parameters get too far off. Is you coolant temperature gauge work...
