'94 Volvo 940 - how do you get the radio out
I have removed the panel under the radio/cassette, the cigarette lighter and can not find a way to get the radio out. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There are two metal clips, one on each side of the radio. You just have to push those in. That being said, it is kind of a pain. I just used a pair of flat head, and worked it until it popped out. The clips are in the middle of the sides. If you are replacing it with an aftermarket, the amplifier is just above the driverside kickpanel.

The hard part is applying inward pressure on the clips (accessable through the holes for the knobs, which just pull off), and pulling the radio out at the same time. My wife provided the extra pair of hands for me.Anonymous wrote:There are two metal clips, one on each side of the radio. You just have to push those in. That being said, it is kind of a pain. Note that there are two anti-rattle clips on the top edge of the radio that may need to be released. I used a putty knife.
