84 240GL lowbeams dont work Topic is solved

I just bought this old VOLVO very cheap and the only thing that doesnt work on it are the low beams. I found a used headlight relay switch at a junkyard and installed it and they still dont work. The previous owners dad removed the stereo and speaker (with wires!!) before I bought it. Could he have disconnected or loosened a wire that would affect only the lowbeam on/off dial?? The fuse looks fine and the same bulbs work just fine as highbeams. I'm hoping I don't have to remove the dash to check the dial...I'm no auto mechanic!!
ANY IDEAS!!

I went to the junkyard again and found a new interior dial for the low beams, installed it and GUESS WHAT...THEY WORK!!
Im so excited...got this 84 for $800 with only 128K mi on it....its a keeper!
