S 80 won't lock driver door with remote Topic is solved

recently, i set off the alarm accidently on my S80 T6 (2000). I put my key in and the driver door and the alarm stoped. Now, the remote won't open or close the drivers door. I have to put in the key to close and open that door. How do I get it back to normal where the remote closes and open ALL doors. Thanks for the help.

I've had my car now for 3 months 2001 2.4 170. I have had 3 door locks changed under warranty because these would not lock with remote. Volvo dealer told me that there are faults with the locks and Volvo know it . Even if your car is older than 3 years after the intial warranty Volvo would still cover 50% of the cost of replacement. Try it and see.

The limit switches in the lock go bad. The computer does not know the door is locked. So it does not keep the door locked. The new locking module requires a software download to make it work.
