Check Engine Light 1994 850 Turbo

Post by Naz »

I hope someone has an idea of what I'm talking about when I describe my problem... it has everyone including my mechanic quite baffled.
I've had my 1994 850Turbo for about a year, and I love it but it's about to drive me mad... The check engine light goes on usually within hours of me picking it up from the shop. They've done diagnostics, etc. but nothing. In the end they can only reset the light which usually turns back on almost immediately. Any ideas about know problems with this particular model?

The Check Engine light, as do most if not all lights, is the result of the diagnostics system picking up an error. All errors have a code, for instance, my front O2 sensor going bad threw the check engine light, and when I pulled the codes, it revealed a 2-1-2, or malfunctioning front O2 sensor.

Call your garage and ask them what the code(s) they got were. Report back here with said codes. If they didn't record the code or don't know about codes, never go within 100 meters of the place again.
