850 Turbo hood latch broke off Topic is solved

Bought a replacement hood latch and thought I could get the hood open but I need some help.

I don't think I said that right. The hook that you pull from the outside of the grill broke off of the rest of the assembly that opens the hood. It pops open that inch or so but I cannot see inside. Was trying a coat hanger to reach hook inside but that is impossible. Is there another way?

It was that easy..... I think it took a whole 10 minutes from start to finish! Now on to the next issue...
